A New Step,

The Same Direction

I recently began the process of getting licensed again as a foster parent.
After an 8-year pause, and now feeling more established here in Montana, I’ve sensed the Lord leading me to return to parenting.

Saying yes—and all that comes with it

The licensing process involves home studies, interviews, background checks, paperwork, training, and preparing my home for children. It’s a lot—but I believe it’s worth it. My previous experience as a foster parent shaped me deeply and continues to influence how I see ministry and discipleship, both locally and internationally. I believe caring for vulnerable children is closely connected to the heart of the Lord and the Gospel. Just as we show God’s love in Papua New Guinea, and with the students we train through YWAM, I want to also live it out in my own home.

YWAM MT FACILITIES

In my role as Facilities Director at YWAM Lakeside, I focus on stewarding and creating spaces that support discipleship, spiritual growth, and training people for missions.
Foster care brings that same heart into daily life in a very personal way—one more opportunity to build a place where others can encounter the love of God and healing.

As I prepare my home to welcome children, it also means making a few practical changes.
I’ll no longer be able to sublet rooms, which I’ve done up to this point to help offset the cost of my rent. It’s a shift, but one I’m stepping into with peace and trust in God’s provision.
This change will also impact my flexibility to travel internationally, but I remain committed to both local and overseas missions—as God leads, and in the seasons He makes possible.

Please pray

for favor as I go through the licensing process and wisdom for what this next season holds—spiritually, emotionally, and practically.
