YWAM SHIPS

RENOVATING LIBERTY

The first week in Papua New Guinea has kept our team very busy. The ship we are renovating has not only become our worksite but also our home during our time here. While we work to prepare the ship for its future voyages, we have been getting to know the crew, and they are such wonderful people who love the Lord.

The ship will be used to provide outreach and medical aid to people all over Papua New Guinea. It will also be the housing for the missionaries and crews that are called to make the Liberty their home. Our team has been working to make rooms and crew areas more functional and livable. We have been painting and sealing walls, installing new flooring, and rebuilding cabinets that needed to be updated and refinished. We have fully refurbished three rooms but still have 13 bathrooms to go. Unfortunately, the ship needs some significant plumbing work so we will not get to them on this trip.

It has been a huge blessing to be a part of helping prepare and send this ship out so that we can begin the mission God has for it. Much has delayed its start but we believe God is saying now is the end of the delay. We have had the privilege to become part of its Legacy and look forward to the reports of the fruit of its labor.
