The moving truck arrived safely, and I am settling into my new digs. So much is happening here with YWAM, though I’m still learning about the programs and initiatives we are involved in. I am struck by the many creative avenues being utilized to communicate the Gospel: for example, we currently have a music team recording songs from Galatians 5:22-25 on the fruits of the Spirit in Thailand so that locals have Scripture-inspired music in their language.
Since 2020 there has been a huge spike in people exploring the outdoors and seeking a spiritual experience. In response, we continue to look for new ways to engage people in their search for truth. Last week we commissioned a young lady who came to be equipped in climbing techniques and outdoor survival skills so she could combine her passions for the outdoors with sharing the gospel of Jesus.
It’s inspiring to see the ways people are using their interests and skills to obey Jesus’s command to go into all the world. We want to send people well prepared for longevity in missions or to be missional in whatever area of society they are impacting.
Thank you for going with me and sending others.
“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Romans 10:14-15
