Personal Update

Starting in January, I have had an invitation from the Lord this year to dream with Him. It has been terrifying and exciting at the same time. As I have talked with Him, I have been surprised by the joy and excitement He has over me.

My back has improved significantly. There is still a road of recovery ahead of me, but I am more hopeful today than I was even a few months ago. Pain and healing are things that come with highs and lows; I’ve had my fair share of discouragements and setbacks. Even simple things like standing or sitting at a computer have been physically challenging.

All of last year’s medical bills are paid in full! I am deeply grateful for the care, prayers and generosity shown. Thank You Lord.

Ministry Update

My maintenance team has had many changes over the last few months. In the last 4 months, we have welcomed four new people to the department. Next month we have two more joining us!

During the month of May a few significant things took place here in Kansas City. The purpose was to activate and send more people to minister in the nations, in their own backyard, and workplace. Our campus housed guests from around the world for a stadium event called The Send and other connected outreaches. It was a lot of prep work for our department, but we are happy to have been part of the events that took place. Here’s a glimpse of what happened:

Outreach Impact in Kansas City

  1. $1.8 million worth of household items given to families in need. 7,500 people were served.
  2. 298 locations with 3,400+ people heard the gospel
  3. 504 people gave their lives to Jesus

Global Leadership Summit: a two-day summit leaders from over a dozen nations convened on our campus. Creating measurable strategies for reaching their cities and regions with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Graduation

Last month we graduated students from our January Discipleship Training School (DTS). I was a part of a filming project to help capture their stories as they discovered God. One young lady’s eyes filled with tears as a huge grin crossed her face when she told us of how amazing it was to know and feel God’s love for her stating, “everything is different, I am not the same person I was before.”

I hope to share some of these videos with you in the near future.

Coming up…

I am currently studying the book of Daniel. I will be teaching in our Bible school at the end of July. Then in August I fly to Montana for a Seminar for our Bible school staff and teachers. This meeting is held every 3 years and has helped me understand better how to support young people learning to read the Bible; specifically with the unique challenges today’s young adults face.

Prayer Points

  • Daniel Teaching July 26th & 27th
  • Physical healing for my back
  • Financial provision
